An excellent opportunity for a compassionate and motivated Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a supportive, single-site, 100% small animal practice in Carlisle. This role would suit a vet who enjoys developing long-term client relationships, working cases up properly in-house and being part of a genuinely collaborative team.

The Practice Environment

Single-site, small animal only practice

Strong focus on maintaining broad medical and surgical skills in primary care

The Role
-
Varied first-opinion small animal caseload
-
Opportunity to fully work up cases in-house
-
Routine and non-routine medical and surgical work

Consistent rota with set days and duty nights
-
1:4 out-of-hours rota with financial remuneration

One weekend per month, with flexibility to swap shifts when needed

Supported by experienced RVNs, SVNs, animal care assistants and an excellent front-of-house team

Commitment to developing individual clinical interests

Actively working towards Investor in the Environment accreditation
About You
-
RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
-
At least initial post-graduate experience in practice
-
Confident with sole-charge consulting and routine procedures
-
Compassionate, caring and a strong communicator

Enjoys teamwork but confident making independent clinical decisions

Keen to build long-term relationships with clients and patients
