The Practice Environment

Established GP branch with a loyal and growing client base

Sole RVN role working closely with a veterinary surgeon and trainee nurse

Opportunity to build long-term client and patient relationships

Backed by a nearby 24-hour hospital for referrals and OOH care
The Role
-
GP branch nursing role with autonomy and variety
-
Nurse clinics encouraged
-
Support and supervision of a trainee nurse

Opportunity for leadership training if desired

Hours from 32 per week, with flexibility to work additional days elsewhere to reach full-time

1:3 branch Saturday rota
-
1:10 weekend rotation at a nearby hospital
-
1 bank holiday per year
-
No on-call requirements
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
-
Deliver a high standard of nursing care
-
Assist veterinary surgeons in theatre and consultations
-
Maintain accurate patient hospitalisation and clinical records
-
Ensure high standards of patient comfort and welfare
-
Maintain equipment cleanliness, sterilisation and storage
-
Manage stock levels of drugs, consumables and diets
-
Support induction and training of new staff
-
Provide reception support where required
-
Act as a clinical supervisor for student nurses

Maintain a respectful, collaborative team environment
About You
-
RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse
-
Confident working in a GP branch setting
-
Comfortable in a sole RVN role
-
Enjoys client interaction and nurse clinics
-
Positive, organised and supportive team member
-
Interest in leadership or mentoring welcomed but not essential
Salary & Benefits

Salary £34,000 to £37,000 FTE depending on experience

6.6 weeks paid holiday including bank holidays (pro rata)
