An excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to step into a Senior RVN position within a well-established first-opinion GP practice in Putney, South West London. This full-time role is ideal for a confident nurse who enjoys leadership responsibility, working closely with a senior vet and playing a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of a busy, community-focused practice.

• Role: Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse

• Location: Putney, South West London

• Hours: Full time (40 hours per week)

• Working Pattern: 4-day week possible

• Weekend Rota: 1 in 4 branch Saturdays, 1 in 10 hospital Sundays

• Bank Holidays: 1 per year

• Out of Hours: None

• Contract: Permanent

The Role

• Senior RVN role with leadership responsibility

• Working closely with the Senior Veterinary Surgeon

• Supporting the day-to-day clinical and operational running of the practice

• Diary management, equipment oversight and team engagement

• Maintaining high standards of nursing care, patient welfare and client service

• Utilising Schedule 3 procedures where appropriate

• Acting as a clinical supervisor for Student Veterinary Nurses

• Supporting reception and front-of-house standards

Key Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting the nursing team

• Assisting vets in theatre and consultations

• Ensuring equipment is serviced, maintained and fully operational

• Conducting weekly controlled drug audits

• Managing reception operations and client communication standards

• Promoting a positive, collaborative team environment

Leadership training is provided to support your transition into a senior position.

What We're Looking For

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse

• Experience in a first-opinion practice environment

• Confident with leadership and team coordination

• Strong organisational and communication skills

• Comfortable supporting and mentoring colleagues and students
