An excellent opportunity for a confident Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established first-opinion GP practice in Hayes End, Middlesex. This part-time role is ideal for a vet who enjoys building a client base, working with a high degree of autonomy and maintaining an excellent work–life balance, while still benefiting from strong senior and regional support.

Part Time (3 Days) | £45,000 – £65,000 FTE | Permanent

Key Details

• Role: Veterinary Surgeon

• Location: Hayes End, Middlesex

• Hours: Part time – 3 days per week

• Working Days: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

• Weekend Rota: 1 in 4 branch Saturdays, 1 in 8 hospital Sundays

• Bank Holidays: 1 per year

• Out of Hours: None

• Contract: Permanent

The Practice

• Established first-opinion GP branch practice

• Well-equipped with facilities suited to a surgical bias

• Dental x-ray available

• Experienced nursing and trainee support team

• Supported by a highly experienced senior vet

• Backed by a nearby 24-hour hospital for referrals and OOH care

• Strong regional management and clinical leadership support

The Role

• GP veterinary role within a branch setting

• Building and maintaining a loyal client base

• Routine consultations and first-opinion surgery

• Managing cases in line with best-practice and evidence-based medicine

• Maintaining accurate and detailed clinical records

• Timely referral of complex cases to supporting hospital facilities

• Contributing to a respectful and collaborative team environment

What We're Looking For

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon

• Confident in first-opinion GP work

• Comfortable with routine surgery

• Interest in surgery or dentistry advantageous

• Strong communication and client relationship skills

• Looking for a long-term part-time role with autonomy

Salary & Benefits

• Salary £45,000 – £65,000 FTE per annum (DOE, inclusive of weekend rota)

• 6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays (pro rata)

• Up to 5 days' paid CPD leave

Must Haves

• RCVS Registered (or soon to be)
• Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
