Registered Veterinary Nurse – Fixed Term Contract | West Sussex

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a purpose-built small animal orthopaedic referral centre in West Sussex on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover. This role is ideal for an RVN with a strong interest in surgical nursing who is looking to develop their skills within a specialist-led, supportive referral environment. Previous referral experience is not required, with full induction and training provided.

Full or Part-Time | £31,000 – £34,000 | 12-Month Fixed Term Contract

Key Details

• Role: Registered Veterinary Nurse (FTC – Maternity Cover)

• Location: West Sussex

• Hours: Full time or part time considered

• Shift Pattern: 8-hour shifts between 7:15am and 7:00pm

• Weekend Rota: 1 in 6 weekends on call

• Out of Hours: None

• Contract: Fixed term – 12 months

• Dedicated small animal orthopaedic referral centre

• RCVS Practice Standards accredited

• Purpose-built, recently refurbished facility in a rural setting

• Equipped for a full range of orthopaedic procedures including TPLO, THR, CUE and arthroscopy

• Excellent facilities including two operating theatres and on-site CT

• Led by RCVS Specialists and Advanced Practitioners in Small Animal Surgery

• Supportive, collaborative team culture with a strong focus on patient care

The Role

• Key nursing role supporting orthopaedic surgical and inpatient cases

• Opportunity to develop advanced surgical nursing skills

• Full induction and structured support provided

• Working closely with a large and experienced nursing team

• High standards of patient and client-focused care

• Part-time applicants considered with a fair share of late shifts

• Salary £31,000 – £34,000 per annum (DOE, pro rata)
