An excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a busy, well-established first-opinion practice operating as a high-performing "mini hub” in the heart of Hackney. This role offers strong clinical exposure, stability and the chance to further develop your nursing skills within a supportive and fast-paced environment.

Full Time or Part Time | £32,000 – £35,000 FTE | Permanent

Key Details

• Role: Registered Veterinary Nurse

• Location: Hackney, East London

• Hours: Full time or part time considered

• Full Time Pattern: 40 hours per week

• Weekend Rota (Full Time):

  • 1 in 4 branch Saturdays

  • 1 in 10 hospital Sundays

• Bank Holidays: 1 per year

• Contract: Permanent

The Practice

• One of the busiest practices in the area, operating as a "mini hub”

• Works closely with a nearby consult-only clinic, supporting advanced surgical cases

• Recently invested in new ultrasound equipment

• Ongoing commitment to further clinical investment

• Facilities include:

  • Two consulting rooms

  • Large prep and theatre area

  • Separate cat and dog wards

  • Well-equipped in-house laboratory

• Excellent out-of-hours and referral support provided by a nearby 24-hour hospital

The Role

• Ideal for an RVN confident in a busy, hospital-style environment within a branch setting

• Exposure to a varied and interesting caseload

• Opportunity to further develop clinical skills across theatre, wards and diagnostics

• Supported by a large team including vets, a senior RVN, students and trainee nurses

• Friendly, close-knit team culture that pulls together on busy days

• Part-time options well suited to RVNs looking to step away from locum work while retaining flexibility

What We're Looking For

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse

• Confident working in a fast-paced practice

• Comfortable with a broad range of nursing duties

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Looking for stability, development and long-term progression

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 FTE (inclusive of weekend rota, DOE)

Must Haves

• RCVS Registered (or soon to be)
