Contract: Fixed-term (12-month maternity cover)
The Practice

RCVS-accredited first-opinion small animal practice
-
Multiple sites including a main hospital and branch practices

Modern facilities with the full range of expected diagnostic and surgical equipment

Inpatients retained overnight with dedicated nursing care

Overnight out-of-hours calls covered externally to minimise disruption

Strong focus on patient care, team wellbeing and a "just culture” approach
The Role
-
Full-time veterinary role working across hospital and branch sites

Shared rota covering consulting, surgical and inpatient duties
-
20-minute consultations as standard

Dedicated admin time built into the working day
-
Clinical freedom actively encouraged

Support readily available from experienced colleagues
The Team

Large, supportive team including approximately 20 vets and 19 nurses

Broad range of experience across the team

Multiple certificate holders among both vets and RVNs

Strong emphasis on collaboration, support and professional development

Proven commitment to staff wellbeing and engagement

RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon

Comfortable in a first-opinion small animal setting

Confident across consulting and routine surgery

Enjoys working as part of a large, collaborative team
