• Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum (DOE)

• Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week

• Contract: Permanent

• Shift pattern: 4 × 10-hour shifts (07:30–19:30)

• Weekends: 1 in 6 (TOIL provided)

• Nights: No night shifts

The Practice

This role is based within a busy, multi-disciplinary, RCVS-accredited veterinary hospital providing 24/7 care. The hospital is exceptionally well equipped and supported by a large, experienced nursing team, including certificate holders and specialists, creating a collaborative and supportive working environment.

Facilities include advanced diagnostic and surgical equipment, offering excellent exposure to a varied caseload, including exotics.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic RVN who enjoys variety and wants to work in a hospital environment with strong clinical support.

You'll rotate through a range of duties including theatre, wards, nurse clinics and admissions/discharges. A particular interest in nurse clinics is welcomed, though confidence in ward and theatre work is equally important.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting surgical procedures and anaesthesia

• In-patient care and monitoring

• Running nurse clinics

• Admissions, discharges and dispensing

• Working as part of a large, collaborative nursing team

There is a dedicated night team in place, meaning no night shift working for this role.

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse

• Confident across theatre, ward and clinical nursing duties

• Interest in nurse clinics desirable

• Keen to develop skills within a hospital environment

The Location

Aylesbury is a lively market town in Buckinghamshire, offering excellent access to the Chiltern Hills and surrounding countryside, alongside strong transport links to London (under an hour by train). It's an ideal location for balancing town living with outdoor pursuits.
