The Practice

Coastway Veterinary Group is a long-established, RCVS-accredited veterinary group providing outstanding care across East Sussex. The group operates multiple branch practices alongside a purpose-built, 24-hour hospital in Brighton.

The hospital is exceptionally well equipped, with a fully stocked in-house laboratory and dedicated wards for dogs, cats, exotics, isolation and day procedures. The team includes multiple certificate holders and colleagues with a wide range of clinical interests, alongside in-house referral services covering orthopaedics, ophthalmology, advanced imaging and exotics.

A full out-of-hours team operates alongside the day team, ensuring excellent continuity of care and structured handovers.

The Role

This is a hospital-based nursing role with a varied and engaging caseload, including emergency, referral and advanced medical cases from the group's five branch practices as well as supported local practices.

You'll work four days per week, with a 1 in 8 weekend rota and a Monday off in lieu following weekend work. There is a dedicated in-house OOH team to hand over to, supporting a sustainable and well-managed workload.

The role is ideal for an RVN who enjoys the pace and challenge of hospital nursing and wants to work within a collaborative, highly skilled clinical team.

About You

You'll be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse with experience in a hospital or similarly busy clinical environment, confident managing a range of medical and surgical cases. You'll bring strong nursing and communication skills, with a genuine interest in driving clinical standards and supporting team development.

A calm, organised approach is essential, along with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced setting. You'll be detail-focused, welfare-driven and committed to ongoing professional development.

Salary of £31,000 – £34,000 depending on experience
