The Practice

This role sits within a long-established, multi-branch mixed veterinary practice with a dedicated equine and farm animal team. The practice is known for its supportive culture, modern facilities and commitment to clinical excellence across equine, farm and smallholder work.

You'll be working alongside an experienced team in a practice that values collaboration, shared knowledge and realistic rotas that genuinely support work–life balance.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon with an interest in equine and farm animal work who is looking for variety, autonomy and strong clinical backing. The caseload includes equine, farm and smallholder work, with support available for both experienced vets and recent graduates.

The on-call rota is evenly shared and well structured, including:

• Protected time off following night on-call

• A half day off every week

• Monday off following a weekend on-call

• Out-of-hours phone answering service

• Lone worker safety scheme in place

Facilities & Clinical Support

The practice is well equipped to support high-quality equine and farm work, including:

• In-house equine stables and stocks at two locations

• In-house laboratory facilities

• Mobile digital X-ray

• Equine ultrasound

• Respiratory endoscopy

• Fertility testing kits

• Access to visiting specialists, reducing external referrals

What We're Looking For

• MRCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon

• Interest or experience in equine and farm animal practice

• Confident, pragmatic and client-focused approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Willingness to contribute positively to a supportive team environment
