The Organisation

This role sits within a well-established, RCVS-accredited veterinary hospital providing comprehensive small animal care. The Role

This is a varied and rewarding daytime RVN position within a hospital setting. You'll play a key role across wards, theatre, diagnostics and nurse clinics, supporting both patients and clients while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Assisting with examinations, procedures and surgeries

• Administering medications and treatments

• Monitoring and caring for hospitalised patients

• Supporting diagnostics and in-house laboratory work

• Delivering high standards of patient and client care

• Maintaining accurate clinical records

The rota averages 38 hours per week across a 10-week cycle and includes:

• Ward, lab and theatre shifts

• 1 Saturday morning in 10

• 1 full weekend in 10 (followed by a 5-day break)

• 1 Saturday night in 10 (plus occasional holiday cover)

• Shift patterns ranging from early to late finishes

What We're Looking For

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse

• Confident working in a hospital environment

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Compassionate, patient-focused approach

• Comfortable in a fast-paced clinical setting

• Willingness to work a rotating rota pattern

The Hospital

You'll be working in a modern, fully equipped small animal hospital offering a broad and interesting caseload. Facilities include:

• In-house laboratory

• Digital radiography and ultrasound

• CT scanner

• Advanced monitoring equipment

• Dedicated wards and clinical spaces

The team includes experienced RVNs and vets, many of whom hold certificates, creating a strong learning and mentoring environment.
