• Working pattern: Fixed day off per week
• OOH: No regular out-of-hours commitments

The Organisation
This role is based within a modern, purpose-built veterinary hospital that forms part of a well-established multi-site practice group. The hospital is RCVS accredited and equipped to a very high standard, supporting a busy and advanced surgical caseload.

• Purpose-built veterinary hospital
• On-site CT scanner
• Team of 18 vets, including multiple certificate holders
• Advanced diagnostics and surgical capability
• Strong referral and hospital caseload

The Role
This is a senior-level surgical role suited to an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a strong interest or background in advanced surgery.

• Primarily hospital-based role at Brindley Way Veterinary Hospital
• One operating day per week at a branch surgery in Castleford
• Working closely alongside the Surgical Director
• Mix of advanced and routine surgical procedures
• Surgical referral work within scope of skills
• Participation in a 1:4 weekend rota
• Opportunity to mentor and support junior vets, including VetGDP

Surgical Focus
• Advanced soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery
• Procedures including TPLO and patella luxation (mentorship available if required)
• Emergency and referral surgery
• Post-operative care and case continuity

What We're Looking For
• MRCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
• Proven experience in a surgical role
• PgC or similar qualification in surgery (or willingness to work towards)
• Orthopaedic experience desirable
• Confident, compassionate and professional approach
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Enjoys mentoring and working within a collaborative hospital team
