The Practice
This role sits within a well-established veterinary group operating across multiple RCVS-accredited sites, combining the resources of a large 24/7 hospital with the close-knit feel of a community branch practice. The group is known for high clinical standards, excellent facilities and a strong commitment to staff wellbeing and development.

The Vale branch is a small, friendly site serving the local community, supported by a flagship referral hospital for more complex cases.

The Role
This is a sole-charge nursing role within a busy branch practice, ideal for a confident and experienced RVN looking to fully utilise their skills.

Responsibilities include:

• Nurse consultations

• Patient admissions and discharges

• Anaesthesia monitoring and surgical nursing

• Inpatient care and recovery

• Supporting daily branch operations in collaboration with the veterinary surgeon and reception team

The role offers genuine autonomy while benefiting from strong backup and referral support from the main hospital.

What We're Looking For

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse

• Confident working sole charge

• Strong experience with anaesthesia and surgical nursing

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• High clinical standards and a compassionate approach to care

Hours & Rota

• 12-month fixed term contract (maternity cover)

• 40 hours per week over 4 days

• Shifts: 8:30am – 7:00pm with 1 hour unpaid lunch

• 1 in 4 weekends based at the main hospital

The Team

• Vale branch team: 1 Veterinary Surgeon, 1 Registered Veterinary Nurse, 1 Receptionist

• Support from a large, experienced hospital team for diagnostics, complex cases and out-of-hours care

• Strong sense of continuity and community-focused client relationships

The Location
Ash is a picturesque Surrey village located around 6 miles from Farnham, offering green open spaces, good local amenities and excellent transport links. London is just over an hour away, making this an ideal location for both countryside living and city access.
