The Practice
This role sits within a well-regarded veterinary group operating across three RCVS-accredited sites, combining the advanced facilities and clinical depth of a 24/7 hospital with the close-knit feel of local branch practices. The group is known for high clinical standards, strong client relationships and a genuine focus on staff wellbeing and development.

The Farncombe branch is a friendly, community-focused practice with excellent continuity of care and full hospital support for complex cases.

The Role
This is a senior nursing position within a busy branch environment, ideal for a confident RVN looking to take ownership of clinical standards while remaining hands-on.

You will be responsible for:

• Nurse consultations

• Patient admissions and discharges

• Anaesthesia monitoring and surgical nursing

• Inpatient care and recovery

• Maintaining health & safety and practice standards compliance

• Training and supporting ANAs and Student Veterinary Nurses

This role offers autonomy within the branch while benefiting from strong referral, diagnostic and weekend support from the main hospital.

What We're Looking For

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse

• Confident with sole charge responsibilities

• Strong experience in nurse clinics and anaesthesia

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• High clinical standards and a compassionate approach to patient care

Hours & Rota

• Full-time, permanent position

• 40 hours per week over 4 days (9.5 hours per day)

• Participation in a 1 in 4 full weekend rota at the hospital

• Time off in lieu provided for weekend work

The Team

• Farncombe branch team includes 1–2 Veterinary Surgeons, 1 RVN, 1 ANA and a dedicated reception team

• Strong continuity with appreciative clients

• Full hospital backup for complex diagnostics and cases

Farncombe is located near the historic market town of Farnham in Surrey, surrounded by beautiful countryside in the Surrey Hills. The area offers excellent local amenities, green spaces for lunch breaks and easy access to London in just over an hour, alongside strong transport links and nearby airports.
