The Practice
This role sits within a well-established, forward-thinking small animal practice operating across two sister sites in Bournemouth and Poole. The practice is known locally for its positive, collaborative culture with no egos and a genuine focus on team wellbeing, clinical excellence and client care.

The practice continues to invest heavily in facilities, equipment and people, creating an environment where vets can thrive clinically while enjoying a strong work–life balance.

The Role
Based at the Bournemouth branch, this role is ideal for a confident Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys a busy, interesting caseload and being part of a large, supportive team.

The working pattern offers excellent balance with:

• 40 hours per week over 4 days (part time considered)

• 1 in 4 Saturdays with two vets on site

• No OOHs

• No Sundays

• No on-call

• No sole charge

• No bank holidays

You will be comfortable with both medical and surgical cases, enjoy sharing knowledge with colleagues and thrive in a team-focused environment where patient care always comes first.

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon

• Confident in all aspects of small animal practice

• Strong medical and surgical skills with good imaging experience

• Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset

• Enjoys supporting and learning from colleagues

• Passionate about delivering exceptional patient and client care

The Team
You'll be joining a large, friendly and experienced clinical team including:

• 4 full-time Veterinary Surgeons

• 5 part-time Veterinary Surgeons

• 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses

• 3 Student Veterinary Nurses

• 2 Animal Nursing Assistants

• Dedicated support colleagues

The practice prides itself on being social, inclusive and fun, with regular team activities ranging from paddle boarding and BBQs to social events and celebrations.

Facilities & Clinical Support
The practice offers an impressive range of equipment and services including:

• In-house orthopaedics

• CT scanning at the Poole branch

• Certificate holders in diagnostic imaging, exotics and rehabilitation

Must Haves
