The Practice

This role is based within a well-established, multi-disciplinary referral hospital in South Manchester/Stockport, providing first opinion, referral and emergency services. The hospital is Advanced Practitioner–led and supported by dedicated night vets, experienced RVNs and a referrals coordination team, allowing clinicians to focus on delivering exceptional patient care.

The practice has a strong reputation for clinical excellence, collaboration and professional development, and works closely across referral disciplines including medicine and soft tissue surgery.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Practitioner in Dermatology to take ownership of a busy and varied dermatology referral caseload. You will manage referral cases independently, working to the highest clinical standards while supporting referring vets and collaborating closely with other referral teams.

You'll be supported by excellent nursing care and modern diagnostic and treatment facilities, enabling thorough case work-ups and gold-standard dermatology care. The role suits someone confident, clinically driven and passionate about dermatology, who enjoys working in a team-focused referral environment.

What We're Looking For

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon

• Advanced Practitioner status in Dermatology (or working towards)

• Ability to manage referral dermatology cases independently

• Excellent communication and client/referrer liaison skills

• Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset

• Commitment to clinical excellence and continued development

• On-site CT scanner

• Video otoscopy and blue light therapy

• Dedicated dermatology consulting room and microscope

• Fully equipped theatres and endoscopy

Based in Cheadle Hulme, Cheshire, the hospital is ideally located with excellent transport links and easy access to Manchester city centre. The Peak District and Lake District are both within reach, offering an excellent lifestyle balance of city, countryside and outdoor activities.
