Full Time | Up to £80,000 DOE | 4-Day Week | 1 in 6 Weekends | Certificate Support

Key Details:

• Role: Veterinary Surgeon

• Hours: Full time (part time considered)

• Working Pattern: 4 weekdays per week

• Weekends: 1 in 6 full weekends plus 1 in 6 Saturdays

• Salary: Up to £80,000 DOE

• Contract: Permanent

• OOH: Covered by dedicated on-site team

Romford offers an excellent location with fast transport links into Central London in under 30 minutes, while also providing easy access to the Essex countryside. With a mix of urban convenience, green spaces and excellent commuter connections, it’s an ideal base for both city and suburban living.

The Role:

This role suits an experienced Veterinary Surgeon confident in routine surgery, diagnostics and internal medicine. You’ll be part of a large, supportive clinical team with a varied and interesting caseload, including exposure to advanced soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures.

Occasional sole charge will be required, and candidates should be comfortable managing cases independently while also working collaboratively within a multi-vet practice. The role offers excellent scope for further development, including certificate study.

• Large, established small animal practice

• Team of 13 vets with varied clinical interests

• Two dedicated operating theatres

• CT scanner and full endoscopy suite

• Digital radiography and ultrasound

• In-house laboratory facilities

• Spacious, purpose-built surgery

What We’re Looking For:

• RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon

• Minimum 3 years’ UK small animal experience

• Strong internal medicine and diagnostic skills

• Confident in routine surgical procedures

• Comfortable with occasional sole charge

• Excellent client communication and teamwork skills

• Enthusiastic about CPD and clinical development
