Veterinary Surgeon | Halifax, West Yorkshire

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a long-established, well-supported small animal practice in Halifax. This role offers exposure to a broad and interesting caseload, including advanced orthopaedic procedures such as hip replacements, within a stable and highly experienced clinical team.

Full Time | Up to £70,000 DOE | 40 Hours | 1 in 3 Saturdays | No OOH

Key Details:

• Role: Veterinary Surgeon

• Hours: 40 hours per week (flexibility considered)

• Working Pattern: Flexible rota to suit individual needs

• Weekends: 1 in 3 Saturdays

• Salary: Up to £70,000 DOE (FTE)

• Contract: Permanent

• OOH: None

• CPD: Fully supported, certificates encouraged

The Role:

This role is ideal for a confident all-round GP Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys routine consults and surgery and is looking to take the next step within a supportive, experienced environment. You'll be joining a practice with an excellent reputation locally and a loyal client base, where collaboration and continuity of care are key.

The practice benefits from visiting advanced orthopaedic support, allowing exposure to complex procedures including hip replacements, while maintaining strong first-opinion medicine and surgery. Your ideas and clinical input will be genuinely valued, with scope to help drive the practice forward.

What We're Looking For:

• RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon

• Confident in routine consults and soft tissue surgery

• A good all-round GP with a proactive, positive approach

• Comfortable working as part of a close-knit, experienced team

• Interest in developing skills and contributing to practice growth

The Team & Facilities:

• Very experienced, low-turnover clinical team

• Strong nursing and support staff enabling vets to focus on clinical care

• Advanced orthopaedic procedures available via visiting specialists

• Well-established practice with a loyal client base
