The Role:
This is a varied first-opinion role with scope to take on senior or clinical leadership responsibilities for the right candidate. You'll enjoy a broad caseload covering both medical and surgical work, supported by visiting certificate holders and a collaborative, experienced clinical team.
The practice strongly supports clinical freedom, encourages vets to develop their own interests and holds regular clinical meetings and in-house CPD. Candidates seeking a Senior Veterinary Surgeon or Clinical Lead position are actively encouraged to apply.
Clinical Exposure Includes:

Routine and complex soft tissue surgery
-
Emergency surgery (pyometra, caesarean, foreign bodies, cystotomies)

Dentistry and basic ophthalmic procedures

Wound management (surgical and non-surgical)

Small animal caseload including some exotics and small furries

In-house laboratory, ultrasound, digital x-ray and advanced monitoring

Support from visiting certificate holders in surgery and orthopaedics
What We're Looking For:

RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
-
Ideally 3–4 years' UK small animal experience
-
Confident in routine surgery and consults

Interest in leadership, mentoring or senior responsibilities welcomed

Excellent communication and client care skills

Team-focused with the ability to work independently

Passion for high clinical standards and animal welfare
