The Area:
Tamworth, Staffordshire is a well-connected market town offering a blend of historic character, green spaces and excellent commuter links. Located close to major road networks and with direct rail access to Birmingham and surrounding areas, it provides a great balance between town living and countryside lifestyle, making it an attractive location for both families and professionals.
The Role:
This is a genuinely clinical leadership role designed for a vet who enjoys mentoring, guiding clinical standards and leading by example — without being overloaded with operational or administrative responsibilities. You'll work closely with an experienced practice management team, allowing you to focus on clinical quality, case progression and team development.
The practice is entering an exciting period of refurbishment and rebranding, giving the incoming Clinical Lead the opportunity to influence the future direction, culture and clinical standards of the practice.
What You'll Be Doing:

Leading and supporting the clinical team day-to-day

Managing and supporting more complex medical and surgical cases

Mentoring and developing junior vets

Driving clinical standards and best practice

Contributing ideas to improve performance and patient care

Working collaboratively with management while retaining clinical autonomy
What We're Looking For:

RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
-
Previous experience leading or mentoring a clinical team (or ready to step up)

Confident managing more complex cases

Strong communication and leadership skills

Passion for high clinical standards and team development

A collaborative, forward-thinking approach
