Hours: Full time (4 weekdays plus alternate weekends) or part time (3 long days plus 1 in 4 weekends)
Salary: £40,000 – £65,000 dependent on experience
The Role:
We are looking for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join the first-opinion day team at a busy, modern small animal hospital in South Yorkshire. The role is suited to a vet with at least 2 years' experience, confident in managing routine medical and surgical cases.
You will benefit from a varied caseload, with the opportunity to work cases up to a high standard and collaborate closely with colleagues in a supportive, highly skilled environment.
About the Hospital:
This is a large, purpose-built RCVS-accredited small animal hospital and emergency centre, providing 24/7 care. The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical facilities including a CT scanner, rigid and flexible endoscopes, and multiple ultrasound machines. Services offered range from first opinion consultations to referral-level procedures including orthopaedics, neurosurgery, chemotherapy, minimally invasive surgery and stem cell therapy.
The Team:
You'll be working within a large and experienced multi-disciplinary team of Vets, RVNs, SVNs, ACAs and non-clinical support staff. The team is passionate about delivering the highest standards of patient care across both general practice and referral-level cases, ensuring continuity and collaboration throughout.

Must Haves
