Hours: Full time or part time, 3–4 days per week (9am–7pm) plus 1 in 4 weekends. No OOH.
Salary: Up to £100,000 per annum (DOE, FTE)
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Veterinary Surgeon to join a supportive small animal team in Essex. This role would suit a vet with 3–4 years' experience looking to take on greater responsibility, with opportunities for senior or clinical lead positions.
You'll enjoy a varied caseload across both medicine and surgery, including neutering, mass removals, dentistry, ophthalmic surgery, emergency procedures (pyometra, c-sections, foreign bodies, cystotomies), and wound management. Clinical freedom is encouraged, and you'll be supported to develop your own areas of interest with full CPD backing.
About the Practice:
This is a purpose-built, modern clinic serving the local community with a loyal client base and a high standard of care. Facilities include digital X-ray, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, and multiparameter monitoring. The practice also benefits from visiting surgeons with certificates in advanced small animal surgery, including orthopaedics.
Regular in-house CPD and clinical meetings encourage collaboration, while the friendly team culture extends to regular social events outside of work.
The Team:
You'll be joining a close-knit group of Vets, RVNs, SVNs, VCAs, and reception staff. The team works collaboratively, supporting each other clinically and professionally, and are proud of their friendly and approachable environment.

Must Haves
- RCVS Registered (or soon to be)
