Key Details

• Location: Jersey, Channel Islands

• Role: Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse – Day Nurse

• Salary: From £18.25 per hour (DOE)

• Hours: Average 38 hours per week across a 10-week rota

• Weekends/OOH:

  • 1 Saturday morning in 10

  • 1 full weekend in 10 (followed by a 5-day weekend)

  • 1 Saturday night in 10 (plus occasional night cover for holiday)

The Role
As part of the nursing team, you'll rotate through wards, surgery, and lab work, ensuring a varied and fulfilling role. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting vets during examinations and surgical procedures

• Administering treatments and medications

• Monitoring and caring for inpatients with precision and compassion

• Carrying out nurse consults and providing client education

• Performing laboratory tests and supporting diagnostics

• Maintaining accurate clinical records and upholding practice standards

What We're Looking For

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse

• Confident with anaesthesia, inpatient care and nurse-led clinics

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Team player with a proactive, positive approach

• Passionate about delivering outstanding patient and client care
