Are you an experienced RVN looking for a flexible locum role in a supportive, independent practice? This opportunity offers a varied caseload, great facilities, and a friendly team, with flexibility to fit around your commitments.

Key Details

  • Location: Nottingham

  • Role: Locum Registered Veterinary Nurse

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • End Date: Ongoing until permanent RVN recruited due to demand

  • Salary: Up to £25 per hour (self-employed/umbrella)

  • Hours: 40 hours per week across 5 days

    • Split shifts: 8:30am–4:30pm or 11:00am–7:00pm (flexible around commitments)

  • Weekends: 1 in 4 Saturdays, 9:00am–4:00pm

  • Sundays/Bank Holidays: Closed

  • Accommodation: Not available

The Role

  • Nurse consults and inpatient care

  • Anaesthesia monitoring and surgical nursing

  • Lab work, diagnostics, and nurse clinics

  • Supporting student nurses and colleagues

About the Practice
Independent practice with modern facilities including:

  • Digital and dental x-ray

  • Ultrasound

  • Endoscopy

  • K-laser therapy

  • In-house laboratory and surgical facilities

Supportive, experienced team with vets holding certificate-level interests, ensuring a varied caseload.

Must Haves

  • RCVS Registered (or soon to be)
  • Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Amazing experience

New Grad Experience

Both Abby and Adam were fantastic, quick to respond and also really took into account what exactly I was looking for. As soon as I’d mentioned to Abby I was interested in the charity/not-for-profit sector she quickly compiled a list of practices that might interest me. In doing that Abby introduced me to a company that I would quite literally describe as my dream job, and after some interviews (wonderfully set up by both Abby and Adam through the process) landed that job. As a new grad trying to find your first job can be really stressful but I felt at ease working with Vet Seekers as they took care of all the hard bits and all I had to do was talk about what I loved. Great experience overall
