• Location: Westerham, Kent (Kent/Surrey border, just an hour from London)
• Role: Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon – Maternity cover
• Salary: Up to £47,000 per annum (pro rata, DOE)
• Hours: Full or part time considered – standard rota 4 days per week plus 1 in 3 Saturdays, no OOH or on-call
• Contract: Fixed-term maternity cover from November 2025 to July 2026, with potential for extension

The role

You will join a busy small animal practice and take on a mix of consulting and operating in a well-equipped setting. The role offers a fixed-term contract with flexibility for full or part-time hours, with the option of a 3-day week for the right candidate. The rota is designed to give you excellent work-life balance, with no out-of-hours or on-call.

About the practice

The practice is an RCVS-accredited, well-established surgery with a loyal client base and a reputation for delivering outstanding patient care. While part of VetPartners, it retains an independent feel, giving you the best of both worlds – supportive local management and access to a wider network of career development opportunities.

You'll be working alongside a dedicated team of 3 Vets, 4 RVNs, 1 SVN, 2 Receptionists, and a Practice Manager. The practice has strong community ties and regularly gets involved with local charity work. The team are also sociable and enjoy regular get-togethers including BBQs and meals out.

Westerham is a charming market town on the Kent/Surrey border, combining countryside living with quick access to the capital. London is just an hour away, while the surrounding area offers beautiful walks, historic sites, and a welcoming community.
