Key Details

• Location: Hartlepool, County Durham (with work across other branches)

• Role: Registered Veterinary Nurse

• Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum (DOE, pro rata)

• Hours: Full time or part time considered – typical rota 4 days per week, 8am–7pm

• Weekends: Share in Saturday rota; no Sundays or bank holidays

• OOH: None

The Role
This is a varied position offering opportunities to grow your skills and work alongside an experienced and supportive team. Duties include:

• Nurse consultations and client communication

• Theatre work, anaesthesia, and monitoring

• Opportunity to carry out schedule 3 procedures (if desired)

• Involvement in coaching student veterinary nurses

• Day-to-day patient care, diagnostics, and medication preparation

About the Practice
Clifton Lodge Veterinary Group is a 4-site, small animal-only practice with a strong community presence. The main site has been established since 1950, with branches in Horden, Billingham and Sedgefield. The practice is well-equipped with:

• Ultrasound

• Digital and dental x-ray

• Endoscopy and laparoscopy

• Exciting plans for relocation and expansion of the main Hartlepool site, including installation of CT

The team is passionate about professional development, with several RVNs working towards certificates in medicine, anaesthesia, and surgical nursing. The practice prides itself on its supportive environment, encouraging colleagues to pursue areas of interest and share knowledge.

Location
Based in Hartlepool, you'll be close to both the coast and countryside. The area offers:
