Hours: Full or part-time, flexible shifts available

Salary: Up to £67,500 FTE depending on experience

OOH rota: Average 1.25 nights per week (worked from home with nurse on site)
About the role
This role offers the best of both worlds: a busy first opinion caseload and the opportunity to manage your own inpatients and emergencies, supported by a skilled and welcoming team.

Day shifts of 8–10 hours with a paid 30-minute lunch break

Involvement in out-of-hours care (worked from home with RVN cover on site)

Diverse cases across consultations, surgeries, emergencies, and ongoing patient care

Collaboration with visiting orthopaedic surgeons and a cardiologist
-
Support for mentoring and coaching recent graduates
About the practice

RCVS-accredited, 24-hour small animal hospital
-
Team includes multiple vets, RVNs, receptionists, placement students and admin staff
-
Fully equipped with advanced facilities and in-house emergency care
-
Strong focus on team culture, client relationships, and patient care
About you
-
MRCVS with experience in first opinion practice
-
Confident in sole charge and routine surgery
-
A supportive and proactive team player
-
Holds a full UK driving licence
-
Passionate about patient care and keen to contribute to a positive working environment
The package

Salary up to £67,500 FTE depending on experience

6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays

£1,750 CPD allowance per year, with career progression opportunities supported

RCVS, VDS, and two other memberships paid
