We are recruiting for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our float team across Greater London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a vet who enjoys variety and flexibility, working across different branches and hospitals while maintaining the security of a permanent role.

About the role
This role covers practices across Central, South, East, North, West London and parts of Essex. You won't be expected to cover all areas — instead, our locum coordinators will work with you to ensure shifts are assigned in accessible locations.

• Full-time or part-time considered

• Weekend work included, but not on a fixed rotation (flexible to fit around your personal life)

• Sundays and bank holidays worked at your nearest 24-hour hospital

• No on-call requirements

• Accommodation may be available depending on location

This role allows you to experience everything from small sole charge clinics to multi-vet branches and RCVS-accredited hospitals with advanced facilities and specialists. It offers job security, a fixed monthly salary, and benefits that locuming cannot provide, while still giving you the flexibility of extra shifts if desired.

• Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with strong GP experience

• Adaptable and confident working across different practice settings

• Able to manage sole charge and multi-vet branch shifts

• Strong communicator with excellent client care skills

• Positive, proactive, and motivated by variety in your caseload

Package

• Salary: £50,000 – £80,000 FTE depending on experience

• Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays

• CPD: £2,000 annual budget plus up to 5 paid CPD days

• Memberships: RCVS and VDS fees paid
