We are recruiting for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established small animal practice in Ickenham, Greater London.

This is a sole charge role with excellent support, making it ideal for a confident GP vet who enjoys building relationships with clients and being the go-to vet in the community. About the role
This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, inclusive of:

• 1:3 Saturday rotation at the branch

• 1:8 Sunday rota at Mandeville Hospital

• Up to 2 bank holidays per year at Mandeville Hospital (with TOIL)

• No on-call requirements

The role involves a balanced caseload of consultations, routine surgeries, admin time, and follow-up appointments.

The Ickenham branch is at the heart of the local village community, with a reputation built over 20 years thanks to the dedicated long-standing support team. You will be working alongside experienced colleagues including Dawn and Alison, who have been with the practice for decades.

The practice is supported by Mandeville Veterinary Hospital in Northolt (10 minutes away), which provides 24-hour care, advanced referral services, and facilities including:

• CT scanner with diploma-holder imaging service

• Strong medical team

• Advanced orthopaedic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive surgery

The location combines excellent transport links with a village atmosphere, being just minutes from the M25 and with an underground station on the Metropolitan Line offering direct connections across London.

About you

• Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with GP experience

• Comfortable managing a sole charge caseload

• Confident in routine consultations and surgeries

• Strong communicator with excellent client care skills

• Community-focused with a positive and proactive approach

Package

• Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 depending on experience

• Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays

• CPD: £2,000 annual budget plus up to 5 paid CPD days
