We are recruiting for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established practice in Tooting, South London on a part-time basis. This position is ideal for a vet seeking flexibility with a consistent two-day working week, while still enjoying the support of an experienced and passionate team. About the role
This part-time role is 2 days per week (8.30am–6.30pm), with one of the days overlapping with a senior vet currently being recruited for. The rota also includes:

1:3 Saturday morning rotation

1:20 Sunday rotation at Stone Lion Hospital

1 bank holiday per year

No on-call requirements
The role involves routine GP work including consultations and surgeries, with support available from the wider team when required.

Tooting is a vibrant and popular area of South London, famously ranked in the Top 10 Coolest Neighbourhoods in the World by Lonely Planet. The practice itself is long established in the community and well-known for its high standards of patient and client care.
Facilities include ultrasound and all the expected first opinion equipment, with referral and OOH support provided by Stone Lion Veterinary Hospital in Wimbledon.
The local team includes a senior RVN, part-time RVN, trainee nurses, a regional manager, and a regional head vet. This collaborative environment ensures support and guidance are always available.

Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with confidence in GP practice

Comfortable with consultations and routine surgeries

Positive, proactive, and collaborative in a small team

Excellent communicator with strong client care skills

Package

Salary: £24,480 – £33,184 (£45,000 – £61,000 FTE) depending on experience

Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays (pro rata)

CPD: £2,000 annual budget plus up to 5 paid CPD days (pro rata)
