We are recruiting for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a popular first opinion practice in Harrow, North West London on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This full-time role is ideal for a confident GP vet who is comfortable with sole charge and enjoys a varied caseload of consultations and routine surgery. About the role
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week across 4 days. The rota includes a 1:3 Saturday rotation and 1:8 Sunday rota at Mandeville Hospital, with no on-call requirements. Local accommodation is available if required.

You will be fully supported by an experienced nursing team, a dedicated regional manager, and a regional head vet for clinical support. For complex cases and OOH care, the practice is backed by Mandeville Veterinary Hospital, which provides advanced referral services.

About you

• Qualified Veterinary Surgeon confident in consultations and routine surgery

• Comfortable with sole charge in a busy practice

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach

• Keen to provide excellent patient care in a supportive environment

Package

• Salary: £60,000 – £75,000 depending on experience

• Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays

• CPD: £2,000 annual budget plus up to 5 paid CPD days
