Senior Veterinary Surgeon Job Mile End East London

We are recruiting for a Senior Veterinary Surgeon to join a popular small animal practice in Mile End, East London. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident vet to step into a leadership position, guiding a growing team and managing a busy caseload in a supportive practice environment.

About the role
This is a full-time position working a 4-day week, averaging 40.4 hours per week. The rota includes alternating Mondays and Tuesdays off, a 1:4 Saturday branch rota, and a 1:8 Sunday rota at Wanstead Hospital. You will also be rota'd to up to 2 bank holidays per year at Wanstead and participate in an on-call rotation, including around 6 twilight shifts annually.

Mile End has a strong surgical caseload, making this a great opportunity for a senior vet with surgical interests. You will be joining a team that is expanding and developing, with new colleagues set to complete the team later this year, including a full-time RVN, part-time vet, and a senior RVN.

You will be supported by a regional manager and regional head vet, as well as the 24-hour Wanstead Hospital for OOH and complex case support.

About you

• Experienced Veterinary Surgeon with confidence in GP surgery and case management

• Ready to step into a senior or leadership role

• Strong communicator with excellent client care focus

• Positive, proactive, and motivated to lead and develop a growing team

• Surgical interests would be an advantage

Package

• Salary: £64,000 – £85,000 depending on experience

• Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays

• CPD: £2,000 annual budget plus up to 5 paid CPD days

• Memberships: RCVS and VDS fees paid
