Veterinary Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse – Wimbledon London

We are recruiting for a Veterinary Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a busy 24-hour hospital in Wimbledon, South West London. This new role has been created to strengthen the nursing leadership team, providing day-to-day guidance, training, and support in a fast-paced hospital environment. If you are an experienced RVN or a current branch senior nurse looking for the next step, this could be the perfect opportunity.

About the role
This is a full-time position, working alongside the Head Nurse on opposite shifts to ensure smooth coordination of hospital operations and in-patient care. You will also support branch communications, oversee in-patient organisation, and play a key role in training junior colleagues to maintain high nursing standards.

The rota includes a 1:4 weekend rotation (with time off in lieu) and up to 2 bank holidays per year. There are no on-call requirements. Leadership training will be provided to support your transition into senior hospital nursing.

• Experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse, ideally with previous senior or leadership responsibilities

• Calm, organised, and confident in a busy hospital environment

• Passionate about training and mentoring junior colleagues

• Positive, proactive, and motivated to deliver excellent patient care

• Ready to step up into a senior hospital nursing role with additional responsibility

Package

• Salary: £34,000 – £39,000 depending on experience

• Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays

• CPD: Annual CPD budget plus up to 2 paid CPD days

• Memberships: RCVS and VDS fees paid
