We are recruiting for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established small animal practice in Brixton, South London. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident GP vet looking for a permanent role with the freedom to make their mark on a busy practice and rebuild a loyal client base.
About the role
This position can be tailored between 30 and 40 hours per week, depending on your preference. The rota includes a 1:4 Saturday rotation, a 1:10 Sunday rota at Stone Lion Hospital, and up to 1 bank holiday per year. There are no on-call requirements.
You will be working sole charge, supported by an experienced trainee nursing team who know the practice well. Leadership training can be provided for vets who would like to grow into a stronger branch lead role.

This established practice has been part of the Brixton community for over 20 years. As a sole charge branch vet, you will be providing first opinion consultations, routine surgeries, and building strong client relationships in the heart of one of London's most vibrant areas.
The practice is well connected, located between Streatham Hill and Brixton stations, just a short walk or cycle away.
Additional support is available from nearby branches in Kennington and Stockwell, with Kennington offering ultrasound facilities. For complex cases and OOH care, the practice is fully supported by Stone Lion Hospital in Wimbledon, providing referral services and advanced clinical back-up.

Package

Salary: £60,000 – £75,000 depending on experience

Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays

CPD: £2,000 annual budget plus up to 5 paid CPD days

Memberships: RCVS and VDS fees paid

Must Haves
- RCVS Registered (or soon to be)
