Permanent Veterinary Surgeon, Mitcham, London

We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Mitcham, Greater London for a permanent Veterinary Surgeon who has a passion for Orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery.
The position is full time for 37 hours per week, along with 1 in 4 weekends. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

This is an established practice with all the latest diagnostic technology and facilities. If you have an advanced surgical bias, then the facilities are well suited to this passion. The practice sees a wide variety of cases including more complex surgeries which enables the development of clinical skills and knowledge.

About the role

The role will involve all aspects of veterinary work on top of working closely both fellow team members and the clinical director. The Vet will be responsible for treating both sick patients and also providing preventative care. The practice boasts a professional and friendly team of 2 vets, 4 nurses and 1 SVN, along with supporting non-clinical staff.

The right candidate would be passionate about clinical coaching, teaching and mentoring colleagues. They will be confident with most veterinary medicine and surgical procedures and have a passion for soft tissue surgery and orthopaedics in particular. Areas of special interest and certificates are supported and funded. Ideally the vet will be looking for a position where they can continue to develop their clinical knowledge and levels of experience. Excellent communication skills are essential in order to educate pet owners. There is a generous package which is commensurate with experience.

• Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
