Locum Veterinary Surgeon – Abergavenny, Wales

We are recruiting on behalf of a veterinary practice in Abergavenny, Wales for a Locum Veterinary Surgeon to cover a secondment from September 2025 to February 2026.

The role offers a four day working week with the ideal candidate also able to cover some Saturdays on a rota basis. Shared accommodation in Abergavenny is provided. The practice offers protected lunch breaks and admin time along with 15 minute consults. Inpatient care is supported by 24 hour nurse led cover Monday to Friday.

The role provides clinical freedom with excellent internal case support. The client ideally seeks a fixed term contract but would also consider zero hours, umbrella or sole trader arrangements.

Must Haves

RCVS Registered (or soon to be)

Amazing experience

New Grad Experience

Both Abby and Adam were fantastic, quick to respond and also really took into account what exactly I was looking for. As soon as I’d mentioned to Abby I was interested in the charity/not-for-profit sector she quickly compiled a list of practices that might interest me. In doing that Abby introduced me to a company that I would quite literally describe as my dream job, and after some interviews (wonderfully set up by both Abby and Adam through the process) landed that job. Great experience overall
