Locum Veterinary Surgeon – Newcastle, Newcastle Upon Tyne

We are recruiting on behalf of a mixed animal practice in Newcastle for a Locum Veterinary Surgeon to provide cover starting 1st September until the end of October.

What they are looking for:

  • Ideally 5 days per week (flexible if fewer)
  • Mixed practice – this is flexible and can be a mixed animal or small animal locum role
  • They Vet must be confident with 10-minute consults
  • Confident in routine surgeries and consultations
  • Cover to be provided from 1st September through to the end of October. This is also flexible if some cover can be provided.

  • Competitive daily rate – £350 – £550 depending on experience
  • Vehicle provided

Must Haves

RCVS Registered (or soon to be)
Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Amazing experience

New Grad Experience

Both Abby and Adam were fantastic, quick to respond and also really took into account what exactly I was looking for. As soon as I’d mentioned to Abby I was interested in the charity/not-for-profit sector she quickly compiled a list of practices that might interest me. In doing that Abby introduced me to a company that I would quite literally describe as my dream job, and after some interviews (wonderfully set up by both Abby and Adam through the process) landed that job. As a new grad trying to find your first job can be really stressful but I felt at ease working with Vet Seekers as they took care of all the hard bits and all I had to do was talk about what I loved. Great experience overall
