Permanent Lead Veterinary Surgeon – Nottinghill, London
We are delighted to present an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join a highly regarded small animal practice based in Notting Hill, London. This is a permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week) with a choice of either 1 in 6 full weekends at Kensington 24 Hour or 1 in 3 Saturdays. There are no out-of-hours or on-call commitments.
This position is ideal for a confident and forward-thinking Veterinary Surgeon who thrives in a leadership role and is passionate about delivering exceptional standards of clinical care to patients, while providing excellent client service.
The Role
As Lead Veterinary Surgeon, you will play a central role in shaping the clinical standards of the practice, ensuring excellence in patient care and client experience. You will be responsible for mentoring colleagues and fostering a progressive, supportive clinical culture.

- Providing high-quality care across consultations and routine surgeries.
- Demonstrating clinical leadership to maintain gold-standard veterinary practice.
- Fostering a progressive and collaborative team environment.
- Using coaching and influencing skills to support colleagues and maximise team performance.
- Ensuring strong commercial performance through effective allocation of clinical activity.
- Acting as a trusted partner to clients by delivering a compassionate and professional service.
About You
- RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon with proven small animal practice experience.
- Skilled in clinical leadership, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Committed to providing exceptional patient care and enhancing the client experience.
- Confident in delivering consultations, surgeries, and case management.
- Experienced in building successful teams and creating a positive working environment.
- Comfortable taking sole charge when required.
- A strong communicator with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Ambitious and keen to pursue further professional development, with certificates fully supported.

- Team: 2 Vets, 1 RVN, 1 SVN plus a supportive non-clinical team
- Consultations: 15 minutes

Package & Benefits
- Salary: £45,000 – £75,000 per annum (DOE, pro rata)
