Permanent Lead Veterinary Surgeon – Colchester, Essex
We are recruiting on behalf of an established small animal practice in Colchester, Essex for a Permanent Lead Veterinary Surgeon. You must have the confidence to lead a clinical team and work sole charge as this will be required on occasion. This role is full time for 4 days per week, along with 1 in 6 weekends. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.
The practice benefits from a multi-vet team, as well as a large support staff of qualified RVNs and administrative staff. This role is perfect for an experienced vet looking to take on a new challenge with more responsibility.
With modern facilities the practice is able to provide a range of services including health check, haematology and biochemistry blood tests, radiology, inoculations, neutering, dental hygiene, endoscopy, microchipping, full operating facilities, blood pressure monitoring, in house ultrasonography along with a visiting cardiology specialist.

- Team: 5 vets, 5 nurses and reception team

Package:
- Salary: Up to £75,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
- Holidays: 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays
- CPD: Generous allowance of £1,500 with 3 days to attend
- Memberships: RCVS, VDS and BVA fees covered
- Workplace pension after 6 months
- Further study supported and encouraged
Must Haves
RCVS Registered (or soon to be)
Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
