Permanent Lead Veterinary Surgeon – Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire

Up to £75,000 | 4-Day Week | No OOH | Career Progression

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, forward-thinking small animal practice in Scunthorpe for a Permanent Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinary surgeon ready to lead and develop within a supportive environment, with access to top-tier clinical facilities and a network of over 300 practices nationwide.

What's on offer:

  • Salary up to £75,000 depending on experience
  • 4-day working week
  • No out-of-hours (OOH) or on-call duties
  • 1 in 3 half weekends or 1 in 6 full weekends
  • Generous CPD allowance of £1,500 plus 3 CPD days

  • RCVS, BVA, and VDS fees paid

The ideal candidate:
  • Experienced in small animal practice
  • Confident in routine and advanced surgical procedures
  • Comfortable with sole charge responsibilities
  • Demonstrates high clinical standards and excellent communication skills
  • Enjoys mentoring and supporting colleagues
  • Interested in developing a clinical specialism or pursuing a certificate
  • Self-motivated, positive, and calm under pressure
  • Passionate about delivering gold-standard patient care

Must haves:
• RCVS registered and qualified or soon to be

Amazing experience

New Grad Experience

Both Abby and Adam were fantastic, quick to respond and also really took into account what exactly I was looking for. As soon as I’d mentioned to Abby I was interested in the charity/not-for-profit sector she quickly compiled a list of practices that might interest me. In doing that Abby introduced me to a company that I would quite literally describe as my dream job, and after some interviews (wonderfully set up by both Abby and Adam through the process) landed that job.
