An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join a thriving small animal practice in Edenbridge, Kent. This is an ideal role for a vet with strong surgical experience and a minimum of 5 years in UK practice, looking to take the next step in clinical leadership.
The Practice:
Located in the heart of the countryside, this well-established, independently-minded clinic has been serving the local community since 1982. The practice combines modern facilities with a reputation for excellence and compassionate care. You'll be joining a friendly, supportive, and highly experienced team that truly values teamwork and clinical standards.

Brand-new, advanced laser

In-house laboratory

Access to CT and further imaging at a nearby 24-hour hospital
Your Role:
As Lead Veterinary Surgeon, you'll be responsible for driving clinical standards, mentoring junior vets, and ensuring the highest levels of patient and client care.
Key responsibilities:

Lead on clinical decision-making and development within the practice

Mentor and support veterinary and nursing teams
-
Perform a range of consultations and surgical procedures
-
Ensure compliance with medical protocols and accurate record-keeping

Handle client communications, including updates and post-op care
-
Oversee lab work, medication dispensing, and patient handovers
What we're looking for:

RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
-
5 years UK clinical experience
-
Strong surgical and diagnostic skills

Demonstrated leadership and mentoring ability

Team player with excellent client communication skills
-
Passionate about delivering outstanding veterinary care
