Head Veterinary Nurse – East Grinstead

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

Are you an experienced RVN ready to take the next step in your leadership journey? We're seeking a Head Veterinary Nurse to join a welcoming and dedicated team at a well-equipped practice near East Grinstead.

This full-time 12-month fixed-term contract offers a fantastic opportunity for a qualified nurse with at least one year's experience in a Head Nurse role and a minimum of three years' UK RVN experience.

You'll lead a friendly clinical team including 3 Vets, RVNs, Student VNs, and Client Care Assistants, working in a modern facility with separate dog/cat wards, spacious prep and theatre areas, and on-site parking. Located in a charming village with excellent links to East Grinstead and Tunbridge Wells, it's an ideal blend of countryside peace and community spirit.

The Role Includes:

• Leading and developing the nursing team

• Delivering exceptional patient and client care

• Supporting nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures

• Overseeing clinical standards, mentoring and coaching

• Assisting with surgical prep, monitoring, admissions/discharges

• Managing clinical stock and administrative tasks

Requirements:

• RCVS registered

• Confident clinical leader with strong planning skills

• Clinical Coach qualification (or willingness to obtain)

• Strong team player and communicator

Hours: 40 hours/week with a 1:6 weekend rota at a nearby 24-hour hospital.
