We are recruiting on behalf of an independent veterinary hospital in Westergate, West Sussex for a Permanent Veterinary Nurse to join their team. This role is full time for 40 hours per week over 4 days with shifts between 7:30am and 7:30pm, along with weekends on a rota. There will be a 1 hour lunch break per day and 2 days of in lieu of any weekends worked. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties, except for being a last resort backup for the twilight and OOH team which is rare.

About them:
An independent veterinary practice in West Sussex who have been providing care to the local area for over 50 years, expanding at a rapid rate in the previous decade. They provide a complete small animal service across all their practices, as well as a 24/7 practice providing an on-call service. They pride themselves on their independent, family feel and have a very low staff turnover, supporting their team with their careers and day to day lives.
About you:
They are looking for a driven and ambitious veterinary nurse who will be involved in all aspects of nursing. The candidate will work alongside and complement the existing dynamic team of nurses, all with varying interests from nursing clinics to surgical/medical nursing. They must be passionate about all aspects of their role and have a commitment to providing a high standard of veterinary care. They will be a team player and have good communication and interpersonal skills. The Nurse would be encouraged to maintain continuity and case management. The role offers the opportunity to take part in nurse led clinic work.
The RVN will need to be a competent veterinary nurse with a strong all round skill set. They will enjoy being involved in all aspects of nursing and willing to get involved with whatever comes their way. They will need patience and excellent customer service skills to ensure all clients are left feeling satisfied.
Package:
- Salary: £26,000 to £33,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
- Holidays: 7 weeks annual leave including bank holidays

Must haves:
- RCVS registered and qualified or soon to be
- Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
