Locum Veterinary Surgeon – Southend-on-Sea, Essex

We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Southend-on-Sea for a Locum Veterinary Surgeon to provide cover from 20th June on an ongoing basis until September or October. This role is full time for 40 hours per week over 4 days with shifts from 9am to 7:30pm or 10am to 8:30pm, along with 1 in 4 full weekends. The Saturday shifts will be 9am to 6pm and the Sunday shifts will be 10am to 4pm. There will be 2 days off in lieu after working a weekend. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

• Weekends: 1 in 4 full weekends
• OOH: None
• TOIL: 2 days off after working weekend
• Sole charge: On weekends
• Duties: Surgeries, consultations, inpatients
• Branch work: None
• Accommodation: Ideally allowance of £50 per night
• Consultations: 15 minutes
• Team: 2 vets, 3 RVNs, 1 SVN and a supportive non-clinical team
• Daily rate: £350 to £500 per day, depending on experience and payment vehicle
• Payment options: Umbrella, sole trader

Must haves:

• RCVS registered and qualified or soon to be
• Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
