Small Animal Veterinarian

We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinarian to join an established small animal practice in Lancaster, South Carolina in a full time capacity.
The role:
The role will involve caring for companion animals in both a medical and surgical capacity. This position offers ongoing education and professional development opportunities with veterinary skillset training. Mentorship and ongoing clinical support are provided.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive medical care to animals, including examination, diagnosis, treatment, and surgery
- Conduct physical examinations to assess animal health, identify potential health problems, and monitor the progress of treatment
- Administer medications and perform diagnostic tests, such as radiographs, ultrasounds, and blood tests
- Perform surgical procedures and provide post-operative care
- Counsel animal owners on pet health and responsible pet ownership
- Maintain medical records and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- Participate in professional development activities to keep up to date with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine
- Contribute to the development and implementation of animal health programs within the community
Key skills, qualifications and requirements:
- License to practice Veterinary Medicine – DVM License
- Experienced in preventative care and general surgery and dentistry
- Passion for providing a high standard of veterinary care
- Enthusiasm, energy and a positive attitude
- A strong desire to educate and build solid relationships with clients
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Team player mentality with excellent communication skills
- Punctual and reliable work ethic
- Willingness to learn and grow in the veterinary field
- Enjoys working within a fast paced environment
Package:
- Competitive salary of $100,000 to $150,000 and additional benefits, including bonuses (dependent on experience and skills)
