The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a well-established small animal practice in Isleworth, Greater London.

The practice is a valued part of the local community, with a loyal client base built organically over time. This role would suit a confident nurse who enjoys leading a close-knit team, maintaining high clinical standards, and working within a friendly, supportive environment.

The Role

You will lead and support the nursing team while remaining actively involved in day-to-day clinical work.

Responsibilities include leading nurse-led consultations and Schedule 3 procedures, supporting consults and surgeries, overseeing inpatient care, and managing admissions and discharges. You'll play a key role in mentoring colleagues, fostering professional development, and ensuring consistently high standards of patient and client care.

This is a full-time permanent role, working 40 hours per week, with some weekend commitment at a nearby flagship hospital.

What We're Looking For

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse

• Previous experience in a senior or leadership nursing role

• Confident mentoring, motivating and developing a nursing team

• Strong clinical skills with high standards of patient care

• Excellent communication and organisational abilities

• Approachable, supportive leadership style

Location

Based in Isleworth, Greater London, the practice is located on a picturesque high street with a village-style atmosphere. All out-of-hours care is managed by a nearby hospital, providing access to advanced diagnostics including CT and MRI, alongside strong clinical support.

• Salary £32,000–£37,000 DOE
