We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Halstead, Essex for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role is full time for 4 days per week with shifts from 8:30am to 6:30pm, along with 1 in 4 weekends. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

The practice is looking for someone who has a good amount of experience in surgeries and consultations, excellent communication skills and the ability to form strong relationships with clients and patients alike. The practice offers clinical freedom to their vets with the ability to work up cases. The practice has been established for over 150 years and boasts a great reputation in the local community. The team is motivated and confident, working together in a stress-free environment and spending time together outside of working hours.

• Hours: Full time 4 days per week, shifts from 8:30am to 6:30pm
• Weekends: 1 in 4 weekends, 8:30am to 12pm

About you:

• You must have a strong work ethic and provide an excellent high standard of clinical service
• You will be happy with all routine surgeries and consultations
• You will have the confidence to work up medical cases
• You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff
• You will be a strong team player

Package:

• Salary: £45,000 to £65,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
• Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays
