Meet the Vet Seekers team

Founder - Veterinary Talent Specialist

David Maclellan

I have a real passion for the Veterinary industry, which propelled me into launching Vet Seekers Ltd back in 2016. I have over 15 years in the veterinary recruitment sector, thus giving me a vast insight and understanding of the market, along with the various roles and tasks related to the profession.

Outside of work, I am a bit of a foody. I enjoy cooking and eating dishes from various countries and of course spending time with family an friends and the miniature Schnauzers Tash and Mazy!

Head of Office Operations & Compliance

Lucy Maclellan

My love for animals came from living abroad in Spain for five years when I managed a cat shelter in Denia called Aldea Felina. As most of you know Spain and many other countries including the UK suffer with many large stray cats and dogs and many are neglected, dumped when they get to be of an adult age and left to fend for themselves.

After working for a veterinary recruitment agency, I am very fortunate to be part of Vet Seekers where I can offer a specialist bespoke service to both vets and nurses alike. I feel fortunate to work alongside these professionals and assist them with finding their next step in their veterinary careers.

Veterinary Talent Specialist

Olivia Mae Smith

My love for animals has come from a young age, always having family pets. I now have a cat called Hazel and a Springador puppy called Daisy, who keeps me on my toes! This makes starting my career in the recruitment industry, specialising in veterinary sector, all the more fulfilling as it something I am truly passionate about.

I have a real passion for people and love a good chat!

After working in customer facing roles for the last 10 years, in the wedding and events industry. I have recently decided to make the move to veterinary recruitment which perfectly combines my love for animals and people.

Head of Administration / Resourcing

Olivia Burley

After finishing my degree in English literature and creative writing, I began volunteering at my local library in a role that focused on administrative duties and interacting with the general public. I loved the connection of these two areas and the ability I had to elevate someone’s mood by helping them with their inquiries.

Outside of my volunteer role, I wanted to find a job that would allow me to harness my creative writing skills. This role at Vet Seekers not only allows me to put my admin skills to good use but also engages my creativity when writing interesting job descriptions and informing you of exciting opportunities.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, writing and taking walks in the countryside. An animal lover at heart, I grew up with lots of cats and currently have one named Thor.

Veterinary Talent Specialist

Chloe Sheridan

I have spent the last 10 years working in administration for the film and legal sector before recently making the jump to recruitment. I am passionate about animals and starting my career in recruitment specialising in the veterinary sector is something that means a lot to me.

I live at home with family, which include 3 dogs and 3 cats. It can be a mad house a lot of the time, but I wouldn’t have it any other way! I’m also a big film buff and occasionally unleash my inner thespian and perform in amateur dramatics.

I am very excited to join the Vet Seekers team and I very much look forward to speaking with you soon!

Head of Marketing

Alison Hickman (RVN)

I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse and very proud of it. Although I currently work very part-time in practice I do regularly volunteer at my local clinic to keep my hand in and skills current. I also locum for them when they need it. The rest of my working time is spent as a PA in my family business and writing my RVN Blog for Vet Seekers.

I am a Pet Auntie to my friends and neighbours dogs and cats. Pet sit? Yes please! Dog walk? Happy to help! I’m stoked to be asked

When I can retire I’ll adopt two rescue mutts. That’s definitely my future furry goal.
