Permanent Head Veterinary Nurse – Penzance, Cornwall

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a well-established small animal practice in Penzance as Head Nurse. This is a full-time permanent role (40 hours per week – negotiable for the right candidate), offering a fantastic chance to step into a leadership position in a supportive and friendly environment.

The Role:

• Lead and manage the nursing team, ensuring high clinical standards are consistently maintained

• Oversee daily operations of the nursing department, including rota coordination and insurance processing

• Work alongside a close-knit team comprising 3 Vets, 3 RVNs, 1 SVN, and 2 Receptionists

• Contribute to a well-managed diary system that prioritises both patient care and team wellbeing

• Engage in 15-minute consultations in a Silver ISFM-accredited practice

• Collaborate in a genuinely positive and inclusive working environment where all voices are heard

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified and experienced RVN with strong all-round clinical skills

• Confident in managing nurse rotas, claims, and workflow in a fast-paced yet well-supported practice
