Permanent Twilight Veterinary Nurse – Bridgwater, Somerset

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established veterinary practice in Bridgwater, Somerset, for a dedicated and professional Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly out-of-hours team. This part-time role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment alongside experienced colleagues, providing vital care during twilight hours.

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage telephone calls and arrange appointments efficiently

• Triage patients upon arrival to support smooth hospital operations

• Assist and support the night team to ensure seamless care delivery

• Work closely with an RVN managing inpatients and preparing for out-of-hours surgeries

• Collaborate with a twilight Animal Care Assistant focusing on animal care and infection control

• Support the on-site veterinary surgeon during shifts

Working Hours

• Part-time position, averaging 6.75 hours per week over an 8-week rota (Friday, Saturday, Sunday evenings only)

• Shift hours: 16:00 – 23:30

• Option to cover additional shifts during sickness or holidays

What We Are Looking For

• Registered Veterinary Nurse with a professional and compassionate approach

• Strong communication skills to manage calls and patient triage effectively

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Flexible and reliable, with a willingness to cover additional shifts if required
